At Flash & Flavour, visual art and haute cuisine intertwine in a unique evening that celebrates the beauty of the essential. Two worlds —the black-and-white documentary photography of Jorge Zaragoza and the rooted cuisine of Berenice Sainz, alongside the creative vision of Executive Chef Rogelio Domínguez— engage in a dialogue of sensitivity, memory, and emotion. Zaragoza’s images, true to a purist and direct approach, capture the pulse of the landscape and transform it into visual poetry. His work is both testimony and contemplation, where shadow, light, and texture unveil silent stories of nature and everyday life.

From the kitchen, Chef Berenice Sainz—renowned for her contemporary interpretation of Mexican cuisine from the heart of the Bajío—joins forces with Chef Rogelio Domínguez to create a multi-course menu that honors the land, origin, and seasonality. This four-hands dinner will be an edible narrative where local ingredients, refined techniques, and cultural roots converge to elevate the sensory experience.

The photo exhibition will be on display from August 1 to 15 for those who wish to experience it.

Chef Rogelio Domínguez

Rogelio Domínguez Vargas, originally from Puebla, Mexico, has worked in international and prestigious kitchens, including the renowned "Central" restaurant in Lima, Peru. With experience in the United States and his role as Research and Development Chef at Barroco restaurant in Puebla, he won first place in the IXTAChef 2018 competition and is co-owner of “Montaje. Cocina de regiones.” Now, he leads the culinary vision at Villa Premiere, blending international cuisine with grilling and smoking techniques, while maintaining a focus on authenticity and excellence.

Chef Berenice Sainz – Special Guest

From Irapuato, Guanajuato, Chef Berenice Sainz leads Restaurante Bixa, a Bajío landmark known for its contemporary Mexican cuisine rooted in Yucatecan traditions. Her culinary vision blends technique, memory, and emotion, elevating ingredients and their origins. She has participated in events such as Millesime GNP Weekend and runs Caprichos del Paladar México, a gourmet product import company. In every dish, Berenice seeks to tell stories through flavor, turning cooking into an act of beauty and resistance.

Jorge Zaragoza – Guest Photographer

With a documentary eye and unique sensitivity, Jorge Zaragoza captures the essence of life through street and nature photography. His purist style embraces direct imagery, free of manipulation, where each shot is a decisive moment filled with intention. Working primarily in black and white, he creates a powerful visual language that transforms light, shadow, and texture into poetry. His work is an honest testimony of the world, told through the lens of a visual storyteller and hunter of moments.
